Formerly known as the Positive Parenting Program, our Prevention Services Program continues to support parents and families using evidence-based Triple P materials.
Courses Offered
Child Welfare Parenting Program (by referral only)
Our Child Welfare Parenting Program provides evidence-based Triple P parenting education and individualized support to parents who currently have an open Child Protective Services case in San Joaquin County.
The program helps parents strengthen family relationships, develop positive discipline and parenting skills, and work toward successful family reunification or family maintenance. Services are available in English and Spanish for eligible families referred by San Joaquin County Child Welfare Services.

Co-Parenting Classes ONLY
At this time, we are offering Co-Parenting classes only. Our parenting classes for children ages 0–12, teens, and Pathways are temporarily unavailable. Please continue to check our website and social media pages for updates on when these classes may become available again.
Parents who benefit from this group are those who have or are going through separation and divorce where there are unresolved conflicts and difficulties communicating effectively with former partners. Parents may be concerned that the separation or divorce is upsetting the children or they may want to learn ways to talk to their children about it and teach them ways to cope.
Preventative Wraparound Program (by referral only)
Main Street Youth and Family Services’ Preventative Wraparound Program, also known as Pre-Wrap, provides individualized, family-centered support to San Joaquin County families whose children may be at risk of being placed outside the home or becoming involved with Child Protective Services.
Families receive intensive, one-on-one case management and work with a collaborative team of professionals and trusted natural supports. Services may include mentoring, guidance, parenting education, assistance connecting with community resources, and support in addressing family challenges before they escalate.
The program helps families identify their strengths, reduce parental stress, strengthen parent-child relationships, build parenting skills, and create goals based on their individual needs and preferences. All services are culturally responsive, strengths-based, and designed to help families remain safely together.
